Cannabis is popular for all the wrong reasons when in fact it should be revered as a super herb for its amazing healing properties.

A study in 1974, revealed that cannabis has anti-tumor properties and this is due to its tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) compound that slowed down the development and progression of cancerous cells in patients with breast and lung cancer.
It was also discovered in lab mice that a virus-induced leukemia was halted by the activity of the THC and even prolonged their lifespan by as much as 36%.
The Journal of the National Cancer Institute published an article in 1975 titled “Antineoplastic Activity of Cannabinoids”. In the article it was stated that oral administration of THC and cannabinol (CBD) hindered the growth of Lewis lung adenocarcinoma.
The lab mice that were treated with CBD and THC for 20 days straight had significant reduction in the size of their tumor.
Dr. Manuel Guzman of the Madrid’s Complutense University in a research in 1988 found that THC will destroy brain tumor cells without affecting healthy cells in the process through selective induced programmed cell death.
In the March 2002 issue of “Nature Medicine”, they reported that they had destroyed brain tumors that were hitherto incurable in lab mice by injecting them with the THC compound.
Harvard Researchers also discovered in 2006, that the growth of lung cancer was halted by cannabis.
Human glioblastoma multiforma (GBM) brain cancer cells has been found to be destroyed by cannabis compounds and this was reported by an organisation known as The SETH Group.
This organisation went on to state that there is no chemotherapy treatment that is as potent as cannabis and that the beauty of this herb is that it is non-toxic.
In 2012, scientists at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco discovered that THC is effective in halting metastasis in a variety of aggressive cancer cells.
